At Additive Surgical, we design and manufacture advanced 3D printed spinal implants in Australia, creating biomimetic implant architectures with continuous porosity that more closely replicate human bone to optimise fixation, fusion and long-term outcomes for Australian surgeons and their patients.
Our Story
Founded in 2020, Additive Spine was built to solve a fundamental problem in spine fusion. Traditional implants are shaped by manufacturing limitations, not by what is biologically optimal.
Instead of following conventional repeating lattice designs, we pursued true biomimetic architectures. This meant taking on greater complexity in design, validation, and regulatory pathways, but allowed us to better replicate the structure and behaviour of trabecular bone.
Combined with dual lattice architecture and continuous porosity, this enables both immediate stability and long term biological integration.
To deliver this, we built a fully vertically integrated, end to end manufacturing platform. From raw titanium powder through to sterile, single use implants, every step is controlled in house.
This gives us complete control over quality, faster iteration, and the ability to deliver implant architectures others cannot.
